Now, she was only getting one right before bed so its not like I was cheating and giving her bottles through the day. I was nervous about this big step, however, because Alli has her nightly routine: bath, bottle then bed AND she doesn't like to drink milk out of a sippy cup-believe me I have been trying- so I was hanging on to that bottle because I was nervous about her calcium intake as well. After her bath, coming down the stairs she always excitedly says "baba." So of course I was stressed that if she didn't get her "routine" bottle that she was not going to fall asleep. So last night was the first night without her "baba", I gave her a sippy straw cup instead; while I held my breath I gave Alli the sippy, she just looked at it, then me without her expression changing and just started taking a few sips-not a big deal at all. She didn't drink much out of her new "sippy", but she fell asleep fine! What a relief! I was thinking we were going to have a screaming toddler on our hands, but she was a sweetie and was nice to her mama and dada! I think she is officially a "big/little" girl now:)
Tubby
Baba-Sippy now though:)
