Fun visit with my Mama!

Here is my mom and I at the N.K. Whitney home where Joseph and Emma lived for quite some time. It is so neat to see how and where they lived during the early church periods. Did you know that red was the cheapest color of paint in those days hence all the "red barns" etc.?? I would have loved to live back then just for that reason...well, maybe not, but it was still neat to see. N.K. Whitney's home had yellow and other colors of paint and that was actually a sign of wealth. Just a fun fact for ya'll.

Here is a picture of my mom with the Losee's, our neighbors from way back when and Brother Losee was actually my elementary school principal and Sister Losee sub taught a bunch at good ol' Sunset, and that is where my mom works as a kindergarten teacher too!

We are standing just outside of the Kirtland Temple, those doors are the actual doors that were originally installed. It is sad that the LDS Church doesn't own this temple because it is so beautiful, but could be kept up a little better. The tour was interesting having The Community of Christ put their view on the temple and the Saint's at that time.

Here is my mom workin' hard on the bumper pad. We got a lot done, but I still need to finish up a few things...

Here is the beginnings of what the babies room is going to look like. This picture doesn't do justice for all the work we put into it, but it was just a quick shot. We finished the bumper pad, crib sheet, crib skirt, and basically the curtains (it's what's draped over the crib) I still need to finish up on a few things, but I really liked how it all turned out! Thanks again mom for your help!

It was so fun to have my mom come out and visit. She came and Brian and I took her to to some cool church sites. Our neighbors from way back when, The Losee's, are serving a mission in Kirtland so my mom was able to visit with them there and we were able to see where Joseph Smith lived in Kirtland and surrounding areas and visit the Kirtland temple. My mom and I also got started on the bedding for our little one. It was so much fun, but hard work too. I am glad my mom was there with me to help figure it all out! Thanks mom for the visit it was sad to have you leave!

99% chance its a....

Looks like a GIRL here ("hamburger buns") a great butt shot!

Sitting cross legged so we couldn't get a good view, of course...

This is our newest u/s...still a girl and we got a 99% on this one, I sure hope they are right!

Cool 4D shot of her head-she is shy and doesn't like to show her face, we tried forever to get a good face shot and she never would do it.

Closest we came to a good face shot...I think its cute!

We finally found out we are having a...GIRL! Yeah! On our first U/S the baby was sitting indian style and had its(her) back turned and wouldn't budge the right way so we never quite got a clear shot of what (she) was, so they gave us an 80% chance of the baby being a girl(they got a butt shot and called it "hamburger buns"). Well, I couldn't handle that so we had this sweet ultrasonographer and she did an extra one for us just to make sure and she definitely gave us a 99% chance this time, so I'm much happier now so I can start the planning process!
